GUIDE DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

This Guide is designed to help legacy MBA and MAcc graduate students in the Muma College of Business - St Pete campus understand how to succeed in their graduate program.

ONLINE CLASS

Below are the instructions commonly included in online courses. They apply to this course as well, as it is intended to be a "trial run" for you to ensure you are ready for graduate-level online coursework. (Better to struggle here than in a for-credit class!)

This is an “online Guide” with online instruction, assignments, and quizzes. The materials for this course are delivered online through the USF Canvas system. You will need a computer with a webcam and internet access as well as a headset with a microphone to view the lectures, do the assignments, complete the exams, and to participate in the virtual office hours.

This Guide is not a for-credit course, and you will not receive an official grade for it. Students with the highest grade will receive prizes as noted elsewhere.

You must access your inbox in the Canvas system (which can be forwarded to your USF e-mail account) regularly.  I will be communicating with all students registered in the course through the Canvas system inbox.  I cannot access your personal e-mail account through Canvas.  It is your responsibility to ensure that e-mails sent to your USF e-mail account are being forwarded to your preferred personal e-mail account.  I will respond to all e-mails within 24 business hours. If I do not respond within 24 business hours, please take that as an indication that I did not receive your e-mail or you are not receiving my response. Please re-send the e-mail from your USF e-mail account.

If your home computer does not meet the recommended technical requirements, or your computer stops working or your internet connection is down, there are computers available on the USFSP campus, such as on the first floor of the Nelson Poynter Library.
